The name Jasmine is derived from the Persian yasmin which means a gift from God, so named because of the intense fragrance of the blooms. Jasmine flower is also known for often very substantial indolic musky aspect. This fragrance has been refined to reduce this animalistic aspect offering an altogether lighter aromatic experience.
